Having a little fun

Today I remembered something kind of funny related to my handedness. For a long time my friends couldn't figure out if i was right or left handed (i'm both btw) mostly because a teacher in the public school I attended was really against teaching us how to write left handed. if you tried you'd get yelled at and she threatened to send people to detention, so I learned to write with my right hand but never my left. In highschool this created some funny results as my friends tried to figure out which of my hands was dominant. the usual answer would have been "it's totally the right! that's the one she holds a pencil and scissors in"

this kind of started because one of them was studying handedness to find out why her parents were left handed, but she was right handed. she found out many traits that signal which hand is dominant. more of my friends got in on this because they thought it was fun, and I let them keep guessing because it seemed to make them happy! I loved seeing everyone trying to puzzle it out. they couldn't even give me that one online quiz because you can only answer "left" or "right" to any question and my handedness appeared conditionally. here is an example. "which hand do you use to hold a cup?"

If I am ONLY using a cup i pick it up with both hands if it's a large cup, or will switch hands because my hand will get too hot or cold while holding it. if I am typing on my phone or computer I will always pick the cup up with my right hand and keep the keyboard to my left to type with. if i am writting or drawing I will pick the cup up with my left hand because i only hold pencils in my right. If I am talking about school or something i don't particularly care about it's in my left hand as I move my right hand around while I talk. If it is about something I love the cup will be in my right hand as i gesture with the left. same with if i am thinking about things I like or don't. try answering a right or left question about holding a cup when it's that conditional!

again my friend made the argument that I hold scissors in my right hand, to which I have to say "that's because the school only has right handed scissors. it's really uncomfortable holding them in your other hand" some friends would even invite me over and were confused for a long time just because i could cut things or do common tasks with either hand. I really can't believe it took someone so long to finally say "maybe she's ambidextrous?" I was so happy that they finally guessed it that I stood, pointed at her with both hands and yelled "OH MY FUCKING GOD!!! YES! YES! THAT!" and they all laughed. they asked why I didn't just tell them and I said "well, sure i think it took you all too long, but I just felt like I was really special when you were all trying to figure me out. It was really nice" and of course i gt a lot of hugs and was told that they all think I'm special even when they don't act like it XD oh I loved those people. lost contact with them after highschool was over, which does suck, but still, shit happens.

but yeah, that's my story about my handedness. Actually, funny thing is that my two darlings Karalia and Aoitama are not right handed. Karalia is mostly left handed while Aoi is fully ambidextrous. I've known that about them even back when they were only my imaginary friends. maybe the handedness of my imaginary friends was just another early sign about my own handedness even before I knew it. the subconscious is a hilarious thing
